oooh - I witnessed a fist fight today
two taxi drivers - now first you gotta understand that the term taxi in SA, although it can apply to your normal understanding of a taxi generally refers to a mini-bus (combi) with a maximum load of, like 12 ppl that usually carries up to about 20
and they drive like lunatics
you generally just give them right of way if you don't want your car scratched, dented or compacted
but this taxi driver was behaving towards the other taxi as he would towards a normal motorist, and the other taxi driver wasn't having it - he basically got pushed into the lane of the oncoming traffic, moved ahead and stopped in front of the other taxi at the traffic light
got out, walked over to the other taxi and started pounding the guy through the window
the other guy eventually managed to get the door open and get out, but could quite get at the other guy cos he was still holding on to his jacket through the window
which he eventually just shrugged offby the time it was clear of oncoming traffic and the light was green and I could get past them to turn off they were rolling around on the ground and the stunned passangers were starting to approach them in an attempt to pull them off each other
what fun!
